Mediation and Conflict Coaching, a "Reconciliation Track"
Providence Mediation provides divorce mediation and other mediation services to help couples facing divorce and other family law concerns, including custody, child support, property division, post divorce modification, prenuptial agreements, paternity, in addition to domestic partnership agreements, and partnership dissolution actions in Hamilton County, Marion County, Boone County, Hendricks County, Morgan County, Hancock County, Carmel, Indianapolis, Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield, Pendleton, Greenwood, Avon and Zionsville, IN.
Couples reluctantly considering divorce can choose Providence Mediation's "Reconciliation Track," which combines mediation with conflict training and coaching. Couples first may mediate a legal separation agreement, which could be filed with the court. This agreement is tailored to meet the couple’s individual needs, and may include such terms as participation in marriage counseling, substance abuse treatment, financial counseling, etc. The couple then receives Conflict Training and Coaching from the trained mediator/coaches of Providence Mediation. In a series of joint and individual sessions, each person will learn a new approach to marital conflict, focused on authenticity, honesty and mutual growth. The spouses are coached specifically how to apply this conflict approach in the context of their marriage. Different from marriage counseling, this is practical application of conflict principles that have been successful in restoring faltering marriages.
Following the conflict coaching, the couples may then participate in a guided reconciliation meeting, or a mediation to determine any desired reconciliation terms. If reconciliation still is not possible, a skilled mediator will help the couple apply their conflict training in the mediation of a final divorce settlement. Even if the end result is divorce, couples will find the conflict training invaluable in later co-parenting and in future relationships.
This Reconciliation Track is a powerful course of action for couples who want another option before ending their marriage.
